Hi, I'm Hussain.
I build products and stay close to the people who use them. The work I like best sits where engineering, product, and business decisions collide, and it should do its job without making you feel like you're filling out a form.
At Google Cloud I work on Generative AI. I partner with Google DeepMind research teams to turn open source work in conversation, language, speech, and AI agents into products people can ship. I also work on generative media evaluation and responsible AI.
Before Google, I founded Bespoke Systems and spent a decade architecting enterprise systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP. I ran product as VP of Product Management at Cloud Elements, directing engineering teams and launching the core platform tools. Earlier, I founded Granularity Information Architecture, which distributed data over the Internet via XML before that was common.
When something I've built is both useful and quietly fun to use, that's the whole job. The rest of this site is where I keep the notes.
